Flusstal dar, welches allerdings durch die parallel verlaufende Bundesstraße beeinflusst wird. Der ca. 10 m breite Fluss mit kleinen Stromschnellen wird von Ufergehölz gesäumt und von angrenzenden Wiesen begleitet. Durch das Vorkommen von Lebensraumtypen der FFH-Richtlinie innerhalb eines FFH-Gebietes weist der Biotopkomplex internationale Bedeutung auf. Für Arten des Grünlands ist das Gebiet ein bedeutendes Trittsteinbiotop im Kondelwald. Das Gebiet ist zudem ein wesentliches Element im Biotopverbund der Alf.
