- The Extensible Markup Language XML is a W3C standard for creating machine and man-readable documents in form of a tree-line structure and is applied in the field of geo web services as a platform independent exchange format. Among other things, XML was developed with the aim to ensure the smooth utilization of XML documents via the internet, the provisioning of support for a whole range of applications and compatibility with the related language SGML.
- XPlanung is an eGovernment instituted project within the Media@Komm-Transfer initiative and was developed to support regional planning. The purpose is to standardize data models, exchange formats and visualize development plans. This is designed to ensure that administrative processes in regional planning can be instituted faster and in a more cost-effective manner.
